Did I Pray That?

Old-time remedies exist for all sorts of things. Sacred dances for rain, dowsing for locating water, herbal tinctures and teas for a variety of ills. Prayer is another popular avenue for seeking succor. But I don't recall having employed it.

Not long hence I let my supervisor know I was blessed with an abundance of time and a paucity of tasks. He probably didn't say anything to anybody. He's been around here long enough to appreciate the inevitability and suddenness of change. For whatever reason, though, the cosmos has come to my aid. If my malady had been thirst, I would now be ready for somebody to toss me a life-ring. The response has been that intense.

On another note, would somebody tell the world at large that NOW is not the only possible due date? I'm disappointed by the limited imagination being applied in the area of scheduling.

I'm not annoyed by my momentary popularity. However, being a chronic pleaser when it comes to these matters, I wonder how I'm going to pull all this off. THIS is the point where a prudent application of prayer may avail much.
