Volunteered

While Katie was at her riding lesson, the facility owner introduced me to a person who boards her horse there and asked me to assist in repairing fence. The whole experience reinforced my belief that a strong will and a good hammer are futile in the face of a normal nail and old oak plank. One thing that sucks worse than watching nails bend in oak planks is standing in the cold, with your ankles swimming in a questionable mix of snow runoff (I hope) and recently processed grain (courtesy of our equine friends), being nuzzled in the nethers by said friends, and watching nails bend in old oak planks.

I think Nancy said it best, "Just say no."
